Preparing for your first visit
Before your first office visit, please complete the questions and documents provided during the Book Appointment process. Although this may be completed at your first visit, it saves valuable time for you and Dr. Dalton to discuss the reason for your visit and proceed with the assessment.
Dr. Dalton will perform a thorough one-on-one consultation following your check-in regarding what has brought you to SBC. An assessment will follow, focusing on your physical pain and discomfort areas of concern. During this assessment and with your consent, Dr. Dalton will perform Range of Motion and Neurological Tests, as well as a Posture and Gait Analysis. In the case of severe spinal conditions, SBC may request X-rays of the problem area to better assist with proper treatment/treatment plans.
If necessary, she may send you out for x-rays as well. This will help her develop the best treatment plan for any of the more serious spinal conditions.
Following this assessment, Dr. Dalton will discuss and review a report of findings and recommend the best course of care to treat your specific pain and discomfort. At this time, she will most likely begin your first treatment, unless she needs further testing. Here at Seven Bridges the treatments we offer include spinal adjustments, soft tissue or myofascial release, and physiotherapy. We love to hear your feedback and want to make sure you have a voice in the different styles of treatment you receive. Prior to leaving the office, Dr. Dalton will suggest at home care she would like you to do. This can include using heat or ice, at home exercises and/or stretches, and activities or positions to avoid.
At the conclusion of your office visit, you will set up for follow-up appointment to go over your posture screening, learn physiotherapy exercises, and continue treatment. We at Seven Bridges work with you to create a custom wellness plan that works with your schedule.
